Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency in DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. This led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous regulations in these cases. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year Award to the entire South Carolina media. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. O'Dell is the anchor of choice at Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's covered the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
